The Czech Republic's annual inflation rate decreased to 2.1% in November 2025, down from 2.5% in the previous month, as confirmed by initial estimates. This represents the lowest rate since April, primarily due to a slowdown in price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 2.2% compared to 3.6% in October. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 4%, down from 4.3%, and furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance saw a rise of 1%, compared to 1.4%. Furthermore, costs for clothing and footwear continued to decline, recording a decrease of 2.1%, compared to a 1.7% drop. On the other hand, transport saw a faster increase in inflation, at 0.4% compared to 0.2%, whereas the rate for post and telecommunication remained stable at 5%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.3% in November, reversing the 0.5% increase observed in the previous period.
