In November 2025, China's industrial production registered a 4.8% growth compared to the same month the previous year, experiencing a slight deceleration from the 4.9% increase recorded in October and falling short of the market's 5.0% growth expectation. This represents the most modest growth since August 2024, primarily due to slower advances in manufacturing, which rose by 4.6% compared to October's 4.9%, and in the sectors of electricity, heat, gas, and water, which saw a 4.3% rise, down from 5.4%. Conversely, the mining sector's output grew more robustly, accelerating to 6.3% from 4.5%. Within the manufacturing arena, 30 out of the 41 key industries posted growth. Notable increases were observed in the automotive sector (11.9%), computers and communications (9.2%), railway and shipbuilding (11.9%), along with sectors like ferrous and non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling, which reported increases of 0.9% and 4.8%, respectively. Additional sectors showing growth included chemical products (6.7%), coal mining and washing (7.5%), oil and gas (5.1%), heat production (4.2%), textiles (1.8%), and food manufacturing (1.7%). Cumulatively, industrial production for the first eleven months of the year saw a 6.0% increase. When viewed on a monthly basis, industrial output improved by 0.44%.
